Children of Jannah's support services are available to bereaved parents who have suffered child loss, miscarriage or stillbirth and who are over 18 years of age.

Support services are conducted online and require access to a reliable internet connection from a desktop computer or tablet.

All support services and communication, telephone, webinar, email or otherwise, delivered by Children of Jannah (your “Support Specialist”), as well as information set forth on our website (www.ChildrenofJannah.com), are meant to help you on your journey of grief.

However, Children of Jannah's work or services does not constitute professional mental health care or medical care.

If you feel psychologically stressed to the point that it is interfering with your ability to function, please have the courage to seek the help you need in the form of a professional counsellor or a medical doctor.

By engaging in any of our support services, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to each of the following statements and that you wish to proceed:

  • I understand that the support services I will be receiving from my Support Specialist are not offered as a substitute for professional mental health care or medical care and are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any mental health or medical conditions. I also understand that my Support Specialist is not acting as a mental health counsellor or a medical professional.
  • I understand and agree that I am fully responsible for my wellbeing during my support sessions, and subsequently, including my choices and decisions.
  • I understand that support sessions are not a substitute for counselling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care, medical care or substance abuse treatment and I will not use them in place of any form of therapy.
  • I understand that all comments and ideas offered by my Support Specialist are solely for the purpose of aiding me journey of grief. I have the ability to give my informed consent, and hereby give such consent to my Support Specialist to support me.
  • I understand that my Support Specialist will protect my information as confidential unless I state otherwise in writing. If I report child, elder abuse or neglect or threaten to harm myself or someone else, I understand that necessary actions will be taken and my confidentiality agreement is limited in this capacity. Furthermore, if my Support Specialist is ordered by a court to provide information or to testify, she will do so to the extent the law requires.
  • I understand that the use of technology is not always secure and I accept the risks of confidentiality in the use of email, text, phone, Skype and other technology.
  • I hereby release, waive, acquit, indemnify and forever discharge Children of Jannah, its volunteers, trustees, Support Specialists, any agents, successors, representatives and employees from every loss, injury, claim, lawsuit, demand or right to compensation for damages I may claim to have or that I may have arising out of acts or omissions by myself or by my Support Specialist as a result of the support services given by my Support Specialist or otherwise resulting from the relationship contemplated by this agreement.
